I have a similar problem with central locking, after about 18 months of sluggish operation my keyfob has stopped operating, new battery added I tried the above advice but after the key turning sequence the chime does sound but the led does not stay on it still flashes, the fob still does not work. any advice please.

put your key in the ignition turn it on till it lights up.
press and hold fob for about 30 seconds then release turn off ignition close door and try fob. that should reset the fob
