My 2004 kia sedona 2.9 deisel sometimes wont start it just clicks, I try to start it a few times and then it starts. I have taken the starter motor off and cleaned it, oiled it and put it back on, it was ok for a week but the problem has returned. I don't know if the problem is the starter motor or something else. Please can anybody shed some light on this. The car's done 89000 miles

if it clicks once then u have to try to start again and it clicks once etc its prob in need of a repair kit on the starter motor about £18.00 worked for me..

Normally a starter will click, click, click when there is not enough reserve of battery to hold the solenoid in AND turn the starter. Get the battery checked. Ensure the earths are OK.

If you know the battery and all connections are OK then I think it's time for a new starter motor.
