renault laguna handbrake adj?

how do you adjust the handbrake on a 1997 renault laguna?
stephen macpherson, July 2006
Working under the car with the handbrake released, you need to tighten up the nut on the equaliser (where the cables from each rear hub meets the central handbrake cable).

My Laguna is a 1995 and the aduster rod snapped whilst trying to adjust. Can't get the cable seperately. It's sold with the handbrake itself .... £55 + VAT ... ouch. Take it nice and easy!

Good luck.
