how can I re-lgiht the pilot light on a potterton kingfisher CF40?

I have removed the front panel but can see no controls apart from a hole with a flap over it at the bottom, plus a dial which runs from 0 - 4, then MAX. There does not appear to be any sort of ignition switch. I have tried putting a gas stove lighter into the hole while switching the boiler on from the heating controls, but this has not done any good.#Help needed please as I am very cold!
