Its getting the lid off thats the hardest, theres little white catches you need to unlicp first then slide the lid off.

Unplug and turn off the water. ( but I kinda had the machine still plugged in and the water connected, as it helps to see if the machine is working okay)

Once the lid is off unscrew the sides, inside the door(the wierd hexagon type) Uncrew just the left hand side,. as you look at it with door facing you.

Then from the left you have a big flat plastic pipe thing looks a little like a big beer brewing thing, I am unsure what this is called, but it has somthing to do with softeners and salt) you can unclip this from the top and lift up and out. you need a bowl, but theres not all that much water there)

Then lift out both floats the are just to the left of the big plastic thing, not hard to unclip, and unjoin the over flow float vaulve (its red and a stick). Clean this lot out under hot water.

Then theres a grey hose, at the bottom right of the machine as you look at it with the door to the right, unjoin this pipe from the float vaulve gubbins, and give it a good blow, DO NOT SUCK!!! blow it agan, you may hear a pop, I did, then reassemble make sure the float vavle is in okay

Hope this helps, it not impossible the hardest part is working out how to open the lid!!!!

Took me about hour and half and yes i would do it agin!

Hi there.

I had a similar problem with the water pipe banging - we use the machine at night and the pipes all round the house rattled so much it woke the kids up!

I haven't completely cured it, but a small pressure reducer (available from any plumbing suppliers) fitted inside the water inlet connection has reduced the banging to a 'knocking'.

Can't help you with the blockage I'm afraid.

My detergent dispenser has broken though - perhaps it's time for a new machine?
