Beko WM5100W heater not working?

The heater on my Beko 5100 inn't working. The heating element itself checks OK but are there sensors hidden away that may cause the problem? (I don't have a circuit diagram for the machine)

how do you test the heater element...is it with a multitester set to contiueity

Hi, I found the thermostat where you said it would be and it appeared to be o/c so I got a replacement but it isn't a straight open or closed stat but a variable resister - dropping in resistance as the temperature increases. The new one matches the original in resistance so it's back to square one. Did you say the panels give problems?

26 ohms is fine.is there not 2 wires to a sensor built in to the heater.this is the temperature NTC sensor that controls temperature of water.again I haven't had an issue with one of these!

Thanks for you reply, the resistance is pretty low - about 26 ohms. I haven't managed to find the sensor yet, the wiring insn't that easy to trace out.

what is the resistance of the heating element?.If wiring is good to heater and sensor then main board issue springs to mind.Never had a board fail for no heat but theres always a first!
