What's wrong with my riding lawn mower?

My riding lawn mower hit a tree root. Now there is a clanking sound from underneath the lawn mower. What could be wrong? It still will cut grass, but something is obviously wrong. Can you help?

You may have bent a blade. It should have it checked very soon! If it is a bent blade and you continue running it, the out of balance condition can damage the spindle bearings.
