mitsubishi outlander?

i have a 07 outlander diesel the wiper link arm onto the swiver arm attached to the motor keeps popping off. its attached via a ball joint. any ideas on whats causing this

worn wiper linkage,you can sometimes get individual link rods or you may have to take the whole linkage,maybe worth going to a good scrappy
