is the cord in front or behind engine?if behind quite easy,in front alittle more difficult.if behind remove bolts,screws that hold the housing in placethe coil spring that gives the pullstart the tension will be slack already unwind the snapped cord and measure the piece on handle+lengthof cord from inside pullstart total is length needed,same thickness is required or you won,t get enough pull without straining spring, ut a knot on one end and refeed through the hole in pullstart inner, wrap around tightly and twist plastic /metal cord holder3or 4 times by hand until tension is felt and feed through outer casing and pull handle tie double knot reassemble
