How can I fix my Simac Stirella Steam Iron SX80400?

My Stirella Simac steam iron is not working well. I have tried putting vinegar and water in it and leaving the iron on and pressing the steam button. However it has only produced a very small amount of discoloured water so far although the towel it is on is smelling of vinegar. What do you suggest? I have always used KalStop and, as instructed by John Lewis, boiled water.

I did with simple 3 botles 250cc vinegar inside tank, then worked 1 hour out of house, it started working then very well. Removed next day (cause cap is on pressure) vinegar remains from inside tank to the kitchen draw.
Then 2-3 wash with distilled water, remove again from tank, then all good for work.
