t260 transit cuts out when driveing alittle wile?

transit cuts out when driveing alittle wile drove 80 miles stoped for a break then it would not start after about five mins got i going drove about 5 miles cut out got it started again after two miles same again then got aa got a piggy back home tryed starting this morning ok whent 500 yards cut out gotit going again back home started it and let it run for about 20 minutes it was fine all so there is no flashing engine lite staying on ive just had a new cht sencer put in last week as it was loseing power that sorted that out any idears as fuel pump must be ok to run for twenty mins with out stoping

have you done the filters lately,recommend ford filter on this,remove it,drain it and have a look for water in fuel or worse filings from the pump,have you had a code reader on it for a look at faults stored,did have one of these doing exactly the same thing at start of year,ended up getting an ignition switch and hasn`t looked back since but it is very difficult to say and would be guessing if this was what was wrong but would start with the fuel filter and take it from there,also check the fuel pipes for chaffing/rubbing in engine compartment,good luck

My 2001 transit used to do this a lot. Mainly when it was engine was cold. It turned out to be the fuel shut off valve, which was piggy backed on the alternator. 2 different types i.e bosch and poss delco. Had a quote from ford for £1800 to sort, so I bought a brand new van instead. Don't let this worry you too much, as things may have changed, or yours might be a simpler job than mine was.
