fixing Metamec mains electric clock?

How do I overhaul and/or fix the mains electric movement on old Metamec clocks ? Movement hums when voltage is applied but hands don't move.
Thanks.

This Means that the clock needs a good strip down, You take the whole movement out of the clock, First remove the bezel glass and Carefully the hands, then the retaining nut on the dial. Next dismantle the movement and then examine each gear wheel for wear and then clean them. Then remove and inspect the rotor. Make sure it runs freely, next Lubricate the pinion with sewing machine oil. finally reassemble the movement and test, the secconds hand should run smoothly, if all is o.k. reassemble the whole clock and rehang on the wall. In 2years time you have to do allthis again! use only light oil only a drop mind, do not flood the movement. do not get any oil on the bottom coil The hardest working part of any electric clock, is the drive from the motor to the secconds hand, it has to go round the clock 60 times per hour, 120 times every 2 hours a-s-o. Make sure you put the anti reverse projection onto the driven part of the pinion on the right way round. before dismantleing the movement, observe how it is put together first! BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THIS CLOCK, ISOLATE THE CLOCK FROM THE MAINS!
