How can I fix my Simpson dryer, model 39S500?

I need to replace the spiggot in my dryer. How do I go about this?

Note that the drum support is part of the plastic spiggot - it is "plugged in" to the back. you remove the back by taking off the screws then giving the back a tug to disengage from the plastic support

take off the back. you will see a fan assembly attached to the back, in the middle is the rear drum support, check and see it is still in good condition. If not relace it too. there are 4 small screws which are inside the drum that will release the spigot.

I think when you put the new one in you innsert the piece that comes with it from the rear, To get it back together you need to do it with the dryer on it's face. Before you do that make sure the drum is properly aligned on the front bearings.

then put the dryer on its frony supporting it on the top and botton (not on the door if you can avoid it. coax the back on and see how you go.
