how to fix my white knight condenser?

when i turn my dryer on i need to spin the drum to get it started?and then when it switches direction too?.checked the rubber band on the drum and seems quite tight? please help!

there is a capacitor inside that makes the motor start up.It sounds like it will need a new capacitor fitting to the motor.The only problem is the whole back has to be removed to gain access.not a straight forward 10 min job!
