Worcester 24Cdi Combi Boiler?

Hi,My boiler isn't working properly,(it is app 11 years old) The central heating side of it is fine,it works no problem. My problem is that the boiler doesn't supply us any Hot Water. any ideas? (a friend suggested it may be a diaphram?) Many thanks, Stuart

Mine was the same, and all that was needed was a spray of wd40 on the fan, which was not turning freely

Hello Stuart..On this boiler the valve that houses the diaphram is at the bottom end of the boiler a very simple test is to un clip the the black plastic housing from the valve there is a circlip that retains it.once this is released press the two microswitches down with either your finger or screwdriver .make sure that the boiler is in the on position for hot water .as soon as you press them the boiler will fire at the high rate for hot water if the problem is the diveror valve.which is the common problem. There is a bit of work to remove the valve but the worcester original valve comes with all nessacary o rings that need replacing when you remove it.Worcester do not do a repair kit for the valve althogh other people do diaphram kits that fitted .They are false economy on this model and rarely fix the problem for long.It will take an experienced fitter an hour to remove and refit the valve sometimes more .The valve will cost about £87 plus vat .we get ours from Thermagas spares center chorley they know the job inside out and offer fast delivery tel 01257 275080
