how do i open a fuel cap with the solenoid failed. ?

the car in question is a renault clio 2005 and the central locking works but the fuel cap will not open.

There is usually a manual release behind a flap inside the boot, on the same side as the filler.
On my older Renault you removed the taillight bulb access panel, pulled out the insulation panel and there was a little red handle you pulled.
It's all in the car handbook.
