My Alarm bell box sounded without the alarm being activated, i went to the remote pad but this was not illuminated so i went to the fuse this was ok, but i put into the OFF position. I then went to the main box and turned the spur switch off before disconnecting the back up battery, the alarm was still sounding but then stopped shortly after.
i connceted the battery up and put the power on at the spur and the trip switch what do you think the problem could be ? it is a gaurdtec system and have had no problems in the past.

could be a faulty stand by battery in the control unit,if your system is over five years old,then its a good idea to replace the battery,if the mains fails,and the battery is faulty,then the bell box will sound untill its battery is flat,
