fan blower wont work on a 56 plate fiat punto 1.2 active

This is caused by a faulty earth in a connector in the passenger footwell. It will probably be accompanied by the lights turning on when you select the fan on.

It's a 5 minute fix, involving cutting the earth on either side of the connector and soldering in a patch lead. The connector is under the glove box on the passenger side, you will need to remove the cover there. It's quite easy to spot the connector.

I have exactly the same problem on my 56 plate punto, contacted fiat dealership and they have seen loads of puntos of this age with same problem but still want me to pay for the repair myself, its disgusting! They should have made the cars properly in the first place, this is obviously a fault with the manufacture of the vehicles!
