anti pollution fault 206 hdi 52 reg?

Yesterday I had the warning "ANTI POLLUTION FAULT" come on and the engine light stays on. Can anyone help me as this car has cost me alot of money over the past year my drives the car and says it drives ok, would appreciate any help with this.
