Take a look at the breakdown diagram again. Key #'s 13 and 14 are what puts tension on the front belt when you have the nozzle in downward position. Usually the pulley breaks off of the bearing, or the spring broke, or spring just came off. In any case, you will need to take the top cover of the base off in order to see whats going on. With the brush roller cover off the bottom you will see 2 small, silver, phillips screws that hold it on, as well as the tabs on the inside edge of the cover. I use a long, flat blade screw driver to unhook them from the lower portion of the housing. You will also need to remove the 3 screws that hold on key #19, so you can get the lower hose out of the way. Need more help or parts? Email me at arctic@worldlynx.net
