When selecting any program and pressing "Start", the door locks and the display shows "Detergent being added" but no water enters the machine and it can remain in this idle state for a variable time (has been up to an hour!). Then suddenly springs into action and follows the program (ammending the finishing time). This is a hot and cold water supplied machine, and I don't get the "Water Tap Closed?" error.

The latest wash also filled the washer to about 2/3 up the front door. The water level is normally really low. It continued to wash and drain OK,but didn't spin.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

suspect pressure switch, or pressure chamber, causing a filling conflict
remove the lid check plastic pipe for splits or detachment and then follow the clear plastic pipe down to the pressure chamber,now remove the pipe end and clear out the hole refit the pipe and try a fill .
