cl447 tripping out?

replaced the heating element as it would only heat up on high dropped the back panel so all wires came off refitted as per previous threads all works but throws the trip switch on the extension lead on high in about 1 min and after about 10 mins on low not normally run on a extension lead but it has a trip out on it with wires coming off thought it would be safer anyone help please

What is the rating of you extension lead?.It has to be 13 amp and FULLY UNWOUND otherwise tripping will occur and overheating of the wires.You should NEVER use a wound extension reel on high current items such as tumble dryers.they should be plugged direct in to the wall outlet!
