1. my 3 smoke detectors started to chime once after each other and continued.
2. the smoke detectors are allocated a zone on my alarm.
3.eventually the chimes frequency increased.
4. I then lost power to my alarm control box.
5. I turned off the power supply.
6. I disconnected the alarm control box battery.
7. smoke detectors stopped chimes.

never had sd chime on an alarm system,do you mean they chime,?or the panel chimes?

Between 4 and 5 I do not quite understand, you lost power and then turned off the supply?
Do you mean the power light went out and to be safe you removed the fuse to the panel?

Now all power is off at the panel any noise outside?

Seems to possibly be 2 or 3 problems here.
Battery.
Mains.
External battery/incorrectly wired SAB (external sounder)
