Where is the thermostat on an Electrolux EOB944W1?

Turned the Electrolux EOB944W1 oven on the other evening and it went "pop" and tripped the RCD circuit. The oven still seemed to be OK and still cooked dinner, but that may have been because it was already hot. Turned it on today and it reached temerature after 2 or 3 minutes. Oven was warm but not as hot as it should have been. I suspect the thermostat has gone, but I have no idea where it is or how to get at it so any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds more like the fan heating element has gone.this is behind the panel in the back of the oven cavity.remove 4 screws to check element in the back of the oven cavity
