My SP 470 starts okay runs for a few seconds then stops i prime it again then it does the same again for a few seconds i have taken plug out cleaned it and cleaned the sponge air filter is their any thing else i could try.

I had the same problem, there is a filter on the fuel outlet from the tank, if you take the fuel hose off it is a white end which you pull out and clean it, I also found some bits in the carb itself which you can drain there is a bolt on the side not the one at the bottom which you can drain the petrol from.
