how can i fix my aerox 50 kickstart?

my electirc start does not work so i have to use my kickstart but when i went to start it over day the kickstart was really stiff and when it goes down it will not spring back up, any ideas what it could be??

take side casing off. with kickstart still on.then spray kick start shaft with wd40. till it eases off.
