When i put my machine onto a wash it will fill with water and once the rinse and spin cycle part has finished it wont drain the water and doesn go into the fast spin like itis suppose to so all i end up with is a washing machine full of water. How can i fix it?

My hotpoint kept flashing a'door' warning, got the guy out to fix it. He un plugged it for 5mins turned it back on and it works. He says it re sets the board. He took £20 hotpoint wanted £120.

sounds like a water pump problem,take the waste pipe off from under sink and try to blow clear,if not you probably have some coins stuck in the pump.if the pump is located at front of the machine,then click off bottom plastic pannal,unscrew filter plug and clear out any foreign objects.if pump is at the back of machine,pull out washing machine,disconnect hoses,and waste pipe from under sink,follow waste pipe to pump remove plastic cover at bottom of machine.remove three screws from pump.clear any foreign objects out .don't forget to unplug from mains.

Your outlet pump is jammed with stray hair clips and coins. Follow the outlet hose backwards to find the outlet pump, its usually under the drum. Don't forget the unplug it first as 230 volts hurts.
