Whats wrong with my Hygena extractor fan?

My 9year old Hygena extractor has started to make a lot of grinding and banging noises when its turned on.
I keep it clean by removing the plastic fan from the housing every 3 months and ocassionally give it a squirm of WD40. Is there anything I can do, or is it just the motor wearing out and I need a replacement?
If so any ideas where to source a replacement?
Thanks in advance.
