i have refilled the top ring with water ( it was very low ) --works pretty well perfect now.

Very easy to replace. Raise the top deck by removing the two screws at front & prising the two clips out on the back. Lift it carefully & watch out for the out of balance lever. It may break if caught on the drum. Get someone to hold it up. Do one corner by lifting the corner bracket for the rod up & off the corner of the cabinet. Hold the bowl with your free hand while you drop the rod down & out of the lower bowl support bracket. Fit new rod in reverse order then move on to the next corner.

feels so so and just heavy ( not knowing what new springs feel like ?) - do i have to take the bowl out to replace springs -or just turn m/c up/down?

something must be amiss --as it didnt go o/o/bal. so much before.-doing a wash tonight --will keep you posted

We are not talking about the spring opposite the out of balance, that is there to pull the bowl away from the OOB lever. The springs to check are on each corner. There is a suspension rod with a spring at the bottom on each corner. Bounce the bowl up & down & see if it feels weak. Suspension rods come as a set of 4 and are easy to replace. The top ring on the tub is easy to unclip & the new one just clips on.

goes out of balance too often-very slightly out of level

just checked springs --only have one ?-opp.the out of balance rod.
is it a drama to fit new springs --if i need 3 more ?
also how hard is it to fit a new top splash/ flat ring -bits broke off
really thankful for your help

No it is not full. If the bowl is out and you move it around you will hear water splashing around. If it is still sealed & no holes don't worry about it. What is the exact problem you are getting? If going out of balance check machine is level & firm on all four feet. Check drum suspension springs to see if they feel weak & soft. (one on each corner)
