I have a 1997 fiesta the manual says that this fuse is located in the relay box under the instrument panel. The dealers mechanic said hit the hinge with a hammer and use WD40. He also said the fuse was located at the top of the central fuse box. I can't find it there. Any ideas, Thanks

fiesta's rely on tailgate hinge for an earth path/connection,but as vehicle gets older this can become a problem,so if you find fuse and its ok then it may be worth running a new earth wire so that hinges are by-passed.[hitting with hammer is only a temp solution.] there may be a fuse box on lower dash to one side of steering wheel ?
