Creda automatic storage heater 79141?

I have two dials - how is the best way to use them

1. Room Temperature

2. Adjust set control.

Thx a lot

number of elements depends on heater but i think in your case there is 3.If you remove front cover and look inside at the bottom of heater you will see the pot connectors that the elements are connected into if there are 3 the total resistance of the heater should be about 22ohms if one has gone it will be around 33ohms,and yes they are easy to change

Thank you steve.e... another question on this matter.

My electrician said although the 79141 is an older model he thought they were quite good the bricks being larger?? One of the heaters might need a new element, is this easy to fix. How many elements in each heater.

sorry that's 3 questions. This is a sheltered housing flat in the middle of two floors and the building seems warm anyhow - also having storage heaters on the communal landings

thank you

the set control is how much charge the bricks take offset by the room temperature, this why it is automatic.the room temp opens a flap inside which lets out heat from the bricks. If you are out all day set room temp to min to keep heat in untill you need it.otherwise set both half way if room is too warm turn output down it is largely a question of trial and error to set best comfort control
