How do I loosen the belt tensioner on a 97 Lincoln Continental?

Pretty straight forward. I'm removing the alternator on a 97 Lincoln Continental. The only thing holding it in is the belt. I removed the idler pulley with no problem, but on the tensioner there is no bolt to remove, just a hole? Do I have to thread a bolt into it to get it to release tension? A problem with that is there is no room to fit a bolt into it? Any help would be appreciated.

on the tensioner there is a square hole on the left hand side of it. a 3/8 ratchet fits perfectly. put the wrench in the hole and rotate clockwise. jsh19682003@yahoo.com
