How can I fix my Whirpool washer Cleantouch model lsc8244bq1?

My washing machine overflowed and flooded the floor of my laundry room. Was working fine earlier today but happened all of a sudden on last load of clothing. Washer was full of water yet no water was coming out of the top but spilling out of the tub from the back of the machine. I was told this may be a switch that needs to be replaced, I need to know how to repace the switch, and where to find a printable diagram perhaps showing me how. Please help. Thank you

I have the same problem, It because the Agitator clutch is wear off. Replace them they cost about $5. Check following link for the part number 10 in the drawing.

Hello,

Try doing a small load and see if the washer just keeps filling past where it should be. If it does, try unplugging the washer to see if that stops the water from flowing and report back.
