Hitachi washing machine error code IE, doesn't complete spin - HELP!?

I have a Hitachi SF-6500PX which washes and agitates fine but when it comes to the rinse cycle it stops and comes up with an IE error code. I don't know what this means. I can get it to spin by skipping the rinse and going straight to the final spin but it obviously needs to go through a rinse cycle. Please help, even if someone can just tell me what IE means. I think it has a problem with the computer?

Had the same problem. Pulled it apart and found the cold water inlet valve was split allowing the water pressure to equalise on both sides of the valve causing it to shut. Now I just need to find a replacement valve!

old post but here goes...

often can also be a problem with the positioning of the outlet pipe. too high makes the machine struggle, too low meand the water continually drains and therefore the washing machine will be constantly topping up. also if the hose is kinked or otherwise obstructed... sounds strange that it is happy to spin.

Please let us all know how it pans out,

Jaq.

I had the same problem.
Found that if you make the machine completely level it completes the cycle perfectly. ( I was ready to throw the machine out - but am now very happy with it)
