Hi It seems to be same as Mccullock 838. the 'nylon' spline has fewer 'teeth' but will fit.

Think this is the same unit as mine... A Powercraft PPCS 38 , 2 nylon pawls are worn and are mounted on the aluminium rotating flywheel thingy ( this has the cooling fins on it ) the pullstart body is held on with 4 screws, and simply has a splined nylon shaft which is also worn, the chainsaw handle comes over the top and joins just under the pullstart body, between the 2 bottom screws attaching this to the body.... I have asked at several places and the thing appears to be made by Wolf, or Ferm, now Wolf went out of business and Ferm used to be sold by Screwfix, that's as far as I have got so if any one can tell me where to get a new start mechanism I will be eternally greatfull...Please leave feed back
