What has broken on my shower (Opal Triton 10.5kw)?

Underneath the shower casing is the flexible pipe to the shower head and behind that is a small soft rubber tube poking out about 1cm. Now when I switch the shower on, water comes out of the rubber tube instead of the shower. If I block the rubber tube then the water comes out of the shower head as usual.

Is this something fixable and if so - any ideas on what has happened? Responses appreciated!

There is a clear Rupper seal that needs to be replaced inside your shower, near to the point that the water is coming out of. this is a safety mechanism that acts when your shower head gets blocked or is not big enough to allow full flow through.
