Can a sharp electronic organizer screen be replaced?

The screen on my organizer is faulty can it be replaced?

Instead of replacing the screen following might help if you experience dead pixels:

There is an easy fix if you have a soldering iron. When you take you organizer back cover off then you see the display connected to the circuit board via wide plastic strip which contains tiny metal lines. They run from the board to the display. From left to right, go back and forth with hot soldering iron on this wide plastic strip (on part which is on the circuit board) about 4-5 times. Not too fast not too slow. I managed to repair my display this way because hot iron revitalizes solder in the strip and connections will be cured. CAUTION: I went too careless with the soldering iron and I managed to burn in a little hole to the strip (on area which crosses air between board and display) so I have three vertical lines that don't work. Even this can be cured but is far more time consuming work.

Found similar information a while back from some post from the Internet. Don't know who originally posted it. Didn't manage to use this technique myself until now and I am glad it worked.

Thanks to the original poster somewhere.

Hopefully this information still helps someone.
