Ryobi MD 700R string trimmer won't accelerate; dies?

I have a Ryobi MD700R string trimmer and even though I replaced the fuel lines (one was cracked) and replaced the diaphram and cleaned the carb and air filter assembly the trimmer still will hardly run. The spark plug is clean and gapped right and the gas is fresh. What am I missing?!!
