pilot light ok, timer switches on, pump runs but boiler will not fire up

Hi, if you know you way around a volt meter then check for voltage at the gas valve solenoid. if you are getting 240v then the solenoid is shot. if your not getting 240v at the solenoid the check there is 240v getting to the boiler in the first place.
