I have recently replaced a Bristan Cart 5. For the first few times of turning on and off the temperature control worked fine. Now it remains a constant tepid at best. The hot water feed into the mixer is hot and the nearby hot water tap dispenses hot water. I have refitted the cartridge several times with the same results. It works fine for a short period of time, then when you return to try it later it won't work. I have tried a 2nd replacement cartridge with the same results. I can only assume I'm doing something wrong.

Can anyone help before divorce proceedings commence?

I have the exact same problem and now on the third cartridge. Divorce proceeding imminent !!

My system is supplied wth a twin 3 bar pump. Everytime I take the cartridge out we get about 6 hot showers and then it goes tepid. Remove and replace and hey presto all ok.

I have had a couple of plumbers and spoken to Bristan. The best answer so far is limescale somewhere in the hot feed or elbow.

I hope someone sees this and can help ! PLEASE !

Sounds like you have a pressure problem?
Have you tried turning shower onto hottest setting, then turning on cold tap and flushing toilet. If change in temp then you need to fit pressure reducing valve on cold side.
Another possible answer is when changing cart did you clean filters? possible debris in filters
