Quad starts fine but as soon as i give it anny throttle it just cuts out. can anyone help?

Iv got 2 appatchie 100 quad both was working 1 works fine. Other stoped working it ticks over but when rev it cuts out. Iv tryed carb reed block airbox Cdi coil and put a new plug init still no go still dose same what's my problem ? Could it be piston rings ??? Carb manifold fine aswell no cracks no holes in engine. What's the problem 07768721866 let me no ur ideas plz

got a 100cc apache race quad takes a good couple of kicks to start it but when it starts it drives for approx. 3 mins and then dies ?

Hi ive just bought a apache rlx 100 racing quad and ive been out on it 5 mins and i smelt burnin and a bit of smoke coming from the frong sproket now it wont go any 1 no what it is

Hi I have an apache 100 it will start after a good few kicks and it will idle but try give it some revs and it trys to go but dies its had the carb cleaned new stator , plug , coil I have adjusted the carb mix but it don't make hardly any difference

i have the opposite problem can any one answer mine starts but wont tic over as soon as i stop giving throttle just cuts out i Havant got a clue

Same problem as above tick over fine give It three quater throttle and it try's to cut out but not every time
But ticks over fine changed cdi unit stator plate
And coil but not spark plug ????

If you have cleaned the carb properly and its still doing it try changing the reed valve if still happening Get a new carb , people think carbs don't break but they do !

mate i had the same prob after much trying ang talking to apache persons we found that it was the C.D.I unit same as you it would tick over great but as soon as i gave it throtle it cut out.

mate you need to clean your fule pipe and were the fule pipe gose eather side clean them as well i hade the same problem. because i ran mine for a little bit off the reserv tank what took the shit from the bottom in to the fule pipe so turn the fule of and clean evrthink then you should be fine buddy. (:

without seeming contradictory i would say the opposite is the problem(in my opinion),if the engine dies when you give it throttle it means the fuel air mix is weak as the first thing the engine gets is a gulp of air when you open the throttle and it should be matched by a gulp of fuel to get the mix right ,when the engine dies like this its because its got no fuel in it ,check the air filter is on the back of the carb properly and if it is then check the carb has no water in as its common on quads to have this problem and if it has no water in it then make sure all the jets are clear in the carb and also that the fuel tap is working properly as these do have vaccum taps on them so make sure all the pipes are connected .also make sure your fuel is fresh and not contaminated with diesel or anything else.good luck with it.
