change a lock on a fiat scudo?

how do i change a lock barrel on a fiat scudo ,my just turns and turns,without opening the door,it opens from inside on the catch ,this seems to say the lock is ok but not the barrel ?,any ideas

It is the barrel, not the linkage!! Standard fault on these locks!

possibly linkage has come astray inside door,if it was the barrel it would not turn at all
