Is the oil leak from my fridge dangerous?

Hi,
I am in a bit of a panic. For the last couple of days my Kelvinator fridge freezer has been making a rattling noise. This evening I found an oily substance leaking from under the fridge freezer. I don't know where the leak is coming from. I have a young son and, as I don't know what the substance is, I am worried that it could be potentially dangerous. Please can somebody advise me. Many Thanks
Chloe

the only part of your fridge with oil is the compressor,so you have an oil leak from the motor,
get an engineer in to check it.
