transit connect gearbox oil leak ?

Hi i have a transit connect ,there is a oil leak in the bell housing ,does anyone know if the output shaft oil seal can be changed without stripping the geatbox down ? is it like the crankshaft oil seal that can be changed from the outside ?
many thanks

in both cases the gearbox will have to come out anyway and it will be in your interest to have a good look at the release bearing, had these falling apart and leaking, check your master cyl. for a low level, not sure but the first motion shaft oil seal may be incorporated into the release bearing housing, good luck
