Leasure battery?

Leasure battery 4yrs old and car & leasure battery charger which has panel lights indicating rate of charge.
Problem:
Panel lights failed to illuminate when leasure battery connected and charger info states don't use check terminal posts are clean....Yes. Check lead are not broken....No fault, they're ok with current proved at charger leads end using a neon car wiring tester and Budgie mains tester run down the cables and was also sensitive enough to pick up current running down the battery connection leads.

Battery is in low state of charge, is it possible a fault in the battery cells are interupting the charge current so not illuminating the charger panel lights?.
The battery is a sealed battery so cell electrolyte cannot be tested.

Thanks Malc will do instead of messing around.

I had a leisure battery failure similar to yours, I took it to the place I purchased it from and they did a voltage drop test, after I had charged it overnight it was just losing charge as he tested it.

It was approx 4 years old, I was told that 4 years was a good life expectancy from a leisure battery, bit the bullet and bought a new one problem solved.

Have Fun

Thank's K. Yes it did have current left as I stated 'It's in low state of charge. Waiting for info from charger manufacturer now see what they have to say regarding the battery cell/s isolating the chargin circuit so not illuminating the panel lamps on the charger, which is probably why they say don't use it if panel lights don't light up.

is there any life in battery, have you checked voltage, sometimes so called sealed for life batteries only have a large sticker stuck over battery caps if you remove it it may allow you to check electrolyte?if totally flat it could be the reason for your fault?
