put the key in but it won't turn. how to fix this? I lowered the sterring wheel now it won't move either. What do I do?

Might be that the cars steering lock has engaged. While trying to gently turn the key, turn the steering wheel a bit clockwise or anti clockwise and see if it frees. Small amout of oil on the key prior to insrting into the lock might also help.
