Kitchen cupboard door?

I have just had a new kitchen fitted unfortunitly when fitting a hook to the inside of a door the thread nearly pentrated to the front leaving a small bulge can anyone help in advising me if it is possible to flatten the bulge.

Remove the screw.
Clamp blocks over the bulge and behind it. Leave 24 hours and see how it looks.
Make sure put some thin cardboard under the blocks so as not to damage the surfaces of the door.
