How do i know if my phone is a touch tone phone ?

I have just bought a BT sTUDIO 3500 and when i make calls to numbers where i have to choose an option, my phone won't select that option.

It will be a touch tone (TM). Pulse dialling phones have not been sold for donkey's years.

if its a touch tone,you will get a tone when you press a button.
