changing timing belt?

what is the procedure for changing a timing belt on a 1999 renault clio 1.2 petrol car

you know what terry? i could not of said it better myself lol
but the timing belt is a VERY BIG job! not trying to put you off cos the thing i say is if you can do it yourself then go for it! but like terry says get yourself a haynes manual & read it & understand it what you dont understant then i will try to help you with that! but first you should check to see if you can lock it in place & buy a timing belt locking kit then the next step would be to find out where abouts there are (which haynes manual wud tell you) thn you cant go wrong! untill the end when you come to tighting up the timing belt my advice wud be to check it as many times as you need to making sure its not too tight & it tight anough run the engine for a while then recheck & the best of luck! good on you for giving it ago! at least you will have your eye balls in place without getting them took out by the con men in the garages these days lol

It's a big question. Your best bet is to get a Haynes manual.
