Fiat Grande Punto 07 need help!!!?

Driving along today when warning flashed up " check engine " then lost power ,engine still running but no response when pressed accelorator --managed to coast into nearby car park and turned off engine. Tried to re-start but absolutely nothing !!, not even sound of a dead battery trying to start. Lights ,radio ,fan etc all work but there is a warning light insignia I have never seen before-- Looks like the front of a car with a padlock over it colour is orange. Can anyone tell me what this means please,

immobiliser at fault ..try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds ...check all plug connection to make sure they are clean and tight
